Nick Kershaw, MACP

APA Titled Neurological Physiotherapist
MClinRehabNeuroPhysio, BPhysio, BHthSci

Nick is the founder of Neural Network Physiotherapy and an experienced clinician specialising in the rehabilitation of complex neurological conditions across Canberra.

He holds a Master of Clinical Rehabilitation (Neurological Physiotherapy) and has worked extensively with adults and adolescents living with spinal cord injury, brain injury, stroke, multiple sclerosis, functional neurological disorder, and other complex presentations — across hospital, community, and home environments.

Nick is also an APA Titled Neurological Physiotherapist, a credential awarded by the Australian Physiotherapy Association in recognition of advanced expertise in neurological physiotherapy. This reflects his commitment to evidence-based practice, ongoing professional development, and delivering high-quality, personalised care.

Through a clear, collaborative and goal-focused approach, Nick provides home visit physiotherapy across Canberra, working closely with clients, families, and support coordinators. He is experienced in delivering NDIS physiotherapy services, and is known for creating tailored, functional therapy plans that lead to meaningful and lasting outcomes.

Our Journey

From Passion to Purpose: The Neural Network Physio Story

Neural Network Physiotherapy was born from a belief that high-quality neurological rehabilitation should meet people where they are — in their homes, their communities, and their everyday lives.

Driven by a passion for person-centred, goal-oriented therapy, the practice was founded to provide flexible, evidence-informed mobile physiotherapy services that support meaningful functional change. With a strong focus on collaboration, Neural Network Physiotherapy works closely with individuals, families, and support teams to embed therapy into real-world routines — not just clinic sessions.

We provide specialist neurological physiotherapy in Canberra, supporting people of all ages and with a wide range of neurological presentations. This includes individuals living with spinal cord injury, brain injury, stroke, multiple sclerosis, functional neurological disorder, and complex spasticity. Our approach combines clinical expertise with a strong focus on real-world function, collaboration, and continuity of care. We also offer support for the assessment and management of more complex presentations, and work closely with clients, families, and support teams to ensure therapy is well-integrated and aligned with broader goals.

Whilst he loves the incredible work he gets to do with his clients, it can sometimes be a lonely gig flying solo, so Nick also teaches physiotherapy at the University of Canberra and works as a neurological physiotherapy consultant, assisting in medico-legal Life Care Planning.
